Jiang Lin

Jiang Lin, tuba chief of Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and tuba professional teacher of the Affiliated Middle School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, is a member of Shanghai Shenshi School Brass Quintet.

From the age of 10, I learned the horn from my father

At the age of 13, he was admitted to the Affiliated High School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and studied the horn with Professor Han Jinguang

In 2005, he studied tuba under Professor Li Dali. In 2006, he was admitted to Shanghai Conservatory of Music as a major, and successively studied under Professor Hao Jie and Professor Chen Jiamin.

In 2009, he was admitted to Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2015, he was admitted to the Freiburg Conservatory of Music in Germany and studied under the direction of tuba player Hellmut Karg. From 2016 to 2017, he served as guest tuba player of Freiburg Opera House.
