1. General Information

The Danubia Talents Art Association announces the XI. Danubia Talents International Music Competition ONLINE 2026.

The competition will be held online. Performances submitted by the participants will be evaluated by an international jury on the basis of the video recordings received.

2. Eligibility

Musicians of all nationalities are welcome to participate. There is no general age limit; participants must enter the appropriate age or study category specified below.

3. Competition Sections

The competition is open in the following sections:

  • Piano Solo
  • Strig Solo
  • Wind Solo
  • Piano Four Hands / Two Pianos
  • Chamber Music
  • Accordion / Harp / Organ
  • Singing
  • Percussion
  • Student-Teacher (Piano Four Hands or other instruments)
  • Jazz / Folk / Musical / Amateur

Participants must strictly observe the maximum performance time specified for their category. Exceeding the permitted time may result in a deduction of points.

4. Categories

Candidates may enter a higher age category if they consider it appropriate to their level of preparation.

Winners of an Absolute First Prize in previous editions of the Danubia Talents Competition may not enter the same category again. They may only apply in a higher category.

Candidates may apply in more than one section or category. A separate application and application fee are required for each entry.

5. Video Selection

Competitors must submit a YouTube link to a video recording of their performance.

The international jury will evaluate the performances on the basis of the submitted recordings.

6. Video Requirements

The following requirements apply to all submitted videos:

  • The performance itself must not be edited.
  • The camera must remain fixed throughout the performance.
  • The participant’s face and hands, as well as the instrument, must be clearly visible.
  • The recording must be uploaded to YouTube, and the direct YouTube link must be included in the application.
  • The programme may be submitted as one complete video or as separate recordings for individual pieces.
  • Only recordings made in 2025 or 2026 will be accepted.
  • Video files sent directly by email will not be accepted.
  • Please ensure that the YouTube video is set to Public or Unlisted, not Private, so that the jury can access it.
  • Once the application has been submitted, the video link cannot be changed without the prior approval of the Competition Administration.

7. Application Deadline and Results

Application deadline: 4 December 2026.

The application, including the video link and all required documents, must be submitted by the deadline.

The results of the competition will be published on the official Danubia Talents website. 20 January 2027.

The Absolute Winners and the results of the competition will be announced publicly.

All participants will receive their diplomas electronically by email.

8. Programme

The programme may be chosen freely in the following sections:

  • Piano Solo
  • String Solo
  • Wind Solo
  • Accordion
  • Harp
  • Organ
  • Singing
  • Percussion
  • Chamber Music
  • Piano Four Hands
  • Two Pianos
  • Student–Teacher

Participants must not exceed the maximum performance time specified for their category. Exceeding the permitted time may result in a deduction of points.

The jury reserves the right not to award a prize in a category if the required artistic standard is not achieved.

The jury consists of internationally recognised artists and music professionals from Hungary and other countries.

9. Age Categories and Performance Time

10. Entry Fee / Application Fee

The application fees are:

The application fee is non-refundable, except in the event that the competition is cancelled by the organiser.

If a candidate or their official representative withdraws from the competition for any reason, the application fee will not be refunded.

Incorrect or incomplete applications do not entitle the applicant to a refund.

11. Awards and Prizes

The Absolute Winners in each category will receive the following cash prizes:

Category C200 EUR
Category D400 EUR

The following awards will be granted according to the points received:

  • Absolute first prize: 99–100 points – Certificate
  • First prize: 95–98 points – Certificate
  • Second prize: 90–94 points – Certificate
  • Third prize: 80–89 points – Certificate
  • Honourable mention: 70–79 points – Certificate
  • Participation: below 70 points – Certificate

The jury reserves the right not to award a prize if no candidate reaches the required artistic standard.

The decisions of the jury are final and not subject to appeal.

12. Payment

The application fee must be transferred to the following bank account:

The payment reference must contain:

Danubia Talents Online Competition 2026 – Candidate’s surname – Section – Category

All bank charges must be covered by the applicant.

The application fee is non-refundable, except if the competition is cancelled by the organiser.

Without payment of the application fee, the registration will not be considered valid and participation cannot be guaranteed.

13. Required Documents

Applicants must complete the online application form and submit the following:

  • Short professional CV or teacher’s recommendation
  • Copy of ID card or passport
  • For participants under the age of 18, a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian
  • Proof of payment of the application fee
  • Direct YouTube link to the performance video
  • Full details of the competition programme, including composer, title of the work and duration

An application is considered complete only when:

  • the application form has been correctly completed;
  • all required documents have been submitted;
  • the video link has been provided;
  • the application fee has been paid.

14. Registration Procedure

Candidates may register for the competition by completing the official application form available on:

www.danubiatalents.com

The application must be submitted no later than 4 December 2026.

Applicants must follow all instructions provided in the application form and upload or submit all required documents and the video link.

Applications received after the deadline may be accepted only in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Artistic Director.

Candidates must indicate the composer, title and duration of each composition performed in the submitted video.

15. Recordings, Photos and Media

By submitting the application, participants grant the organisers the right to use photographs, audio recordings and video recordings related to their participation in the competition for the promotion, documentation and communication of the Danubia Talents Competition.

Such materials may be published on the competition’s website, social media platforms and other promotional channels without additional compensation.

For participants under the age of 18, consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian for the use of submitted personal data, photographs, audio and video recordings.

16. Use of Awards and Titles

Candidates awarded at the XI. Danubia Talents International Music Competition ONLINE 2026 undertake to use only the official title and award granted to them by the jury.

The unauthorised or misleading use of competition titles, prizes or awards is prohibited.

17. Acceptance of the Rules

Registration for the competition implies the candidate’s full acceptance of these Rules and Regulations.

The Competition Administration reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations if such amendments are necessary for the proper and effective organisation of the competition.

Any necessary changes will be communicated through the official channels of Danubia Talents.

18. Data Protection

All personal data provided by applicants will be processed confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Personal information will be used only for purposes related to the organisation, administration, communication and promotion of the competition, subject to the relevant legal requirements.

19. Final Provisions

These Rules and Regulations are binding on all participants.

In matters not specifically covered by these Rules, the decision of the Competition Administration shall apply.

For any legal dispute arising in connection with the competition, Hungarian law shall apply and the competent Hungarian courts shall have jurisdiction.
